Very Ornate Montana Tenor Banjo with original Oettinger tailpiece, extended fingerboard and soft pedal mute.  There is a bit of wear on the back of the resonator and fingerboard , but very little wear showing on the back of the neck.  This banjo was purchased new and played by Fern Dale since 1927.  The tuners have been replaced (possibly many times).  Comes with a vintage hard shell case that shows some wear. This is an excellent sounding banjo with a lot of history!
